CORPORATE EVENT PRODUCTION | JUNE 06 2026 – Pulling off a large-scale event requires a perfect alignment of vision, timing, and technical expertise. When the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS) hosted its recent landmark show, they needed a premium, seamless experience for an auditorium filled with community leaders.
To bring this massive vision to life, the event production agency Red Element Studios—one of our most trusted and valued agency partners—brought AV Factory in to manage live production elements. Together, we transformed the venue into a high-impact environment.
Here is a look behind the scenes at how our teams collaborated on this signature Seattle event:
THE PURPOSE: ULMS’s “A Night of Joy & Impact” Gala
The event, titled “A Night of Joy & Impact,” serves a vital role for the Urban League. As one of only two major fundraising events the organization hosts each year, the gala’s primary goal is to fuel its core mission: empowering Black and historically underserved communities through social and economic justice.
To maximize fundraising momentum, the event blended celebration with high-stakes engagement. The evening featured premium raffle drawings, a fast-paced “Paddle to the Beat” live drive, and high-profile performances from regional artists like Tomeka Williams alongside major headliners. With high ticket values and major corporate donors in the room, the event required flawless technical execution. Every speech, video package, and musical note had to hit perfectly to keep the audience inspired and ready to give.
THE VENUE:
Seattle Convention Center – Summit Building
To match the scale of the gala, ULMS selected the breathtaking Summit building at the Seattle Convention Center.
Opened in January 2023, Summit is the first vertical convention center building in North America, representing a massive $1.5 billion investment in the city’s event infrastructure. (PCMA)
The 14-story facility features an astonishing 574,630 square feet of event space, nearly doubling the capacity of the original Arch building down the street. Our team operated inside the main ballroom. Imagine a column-free, 58,650-square-foot architectural marvel that features a 65-foot-tall ceiling suspended with 3,900 planks of reclaimed wormwood. THE EXECUTION: A Coordinated Technical Partnership
The scale of the space is jaw-dropping, but its massive vertical volume and expansive glass facades present unique acoustic and lighting challenges that only an experienced production team can navigate.
True corporate event production at this level is a team sport. Red Element Studios took the lead on the overall media framework and provided all of the high-impact video content. AV Factory stepped in to supply the raw technical muscle, handling the projection infrastructure, live audio, and atmospheric staging.
Our aim was to deliver the following:
- CRYSTAL-CLEAR AUDIO: Using advanced line-array configurations, our audio engineers eliminated dead zones and echoes caused by the room’s massive scale. Keynote addresses and live performances remained warm, intelligible, and perfectly leveled.
- DYNAMIC STAGING & LIGHTING: We designed a custom lighting plot. It provided perfect illumination for presenters and performers on the main stage. It also bathed the architectural wood elements of the room in rich branding colors.
- FLAWLESS VIDEO & PROJECTION: Working side-by-side with Red Element’s video feed, our team deployed premium projection rigs to ensure that donor spotlights, presentation slides, and live camera feeds locked into place instantly with zero delay.
THE RESULT: An Elevated Event Experience
Because of our tight collaboration with Red Element Studios, the ULMS evening went off without a hitch. The speakers relied on dependable tech, the fundraising momentum never stalled, and the audience stayed locked into the performance.
